We all know that unique sculptural light can elevate any project to a completely new level. When it comes to public projects or double-ceiling spaces - the role of original large scale light sculptures is hard to overestimate.
Engel’s ability to weave personal memories and emotions into her creations is mesmerizing. The image of a grandmother lovingly hanging her grandchildren’s clothing speaks to a universal warmth and nostalgia, and the transformation of that moment into a monumental light sculpture is nothing short of poetic.
Russian designer Olga Engel is known for her signature emotion driven design and ability to capture emotions and memories in objects. She is a successful product and interior designer, who harmoniously mixes luxury with minimalism, functionality and ergonomics with a light mood and a touch of irony.
